In 2014 the Royal Canadian Mint started the coin series of the Canadian Birds of Prey with the 1 oz silver coin Peregrine Falcon, followed by the Bald Eagle in the same year. The Series is limited to 2 years with 2 silver coins each year. The third silver coin of this series is the Red Tailed Hawk.
The obverse side of this silver coin shows a screaming Red-tailed Hawk in landing approach. The hawk is framed by the information about the country of issue (Canada), the fineness (9999), the used precious metal in English and French (fine silver, argent pur) and the weight (1 oz).
The reverse side of the Red-Tailed Hawk shows the portrait of Queen Elisabeth II. Underneath the portrait is minted the nominal value of 5 Canadian Dollar and the year of mintage 2015.
The limitation of the edition of 1 Million pieces and the unique design making this coin of the Birds of Prey Series an attractive collectible. Because of its pureness, the moderate price and the huge reputation of the mint, the coin is also an optimal investment product.
Limited to 1.000.000 pieces.
