Grand Opening of the coin cabinet Brainkofen
On the 1st of July 2016 the second coin cabinet of Geiger Edelmetalle was opened in our south german location in Iggingen/Brainkofen, inaugurated by Dr. Stefan Scheffold, member of the federal state parliament Baden-Württemberg. Many guests with a political or economic background where invited to the event. The company has reconstructed the branch office and the grand openeing marks another milestone for the office, since its opening in May 2012.
Starting now it is offered a well selected range of bullion coins and bars, complemented by historical and modern numismatics. Special attention is put on a representative selection of numismatics originating from Baden and Württemberg. The exhibits can be marvelled at and bought on site. Many of these will find it's way into our online-offer of historic and modern numismatics.
A special highlight of the exhibition was the biggest silver coin of the world, which is limited to 15 pieces worldwide and is 65 cm in diameter. It consists of pure silver and was presented under acrylic glass. Who doesn't want to make such an investment, can buy the small portrait of this colossus. The silver coin "Elephant in danger" 1 oz, which is limited to 1.000 pieces with a consecutive numbering and a blister-certificate, has a nominal value of 1.000 Francs CFA. The protection of the biggest land mammals is important to the Ivory Coast as well as for Geiger Edelmetalle. For this reason we donate 1 Euro to a rescue project for the protection of these animals of every coin sold.
The cabinet can be visited in our opening hours from now on, we warmly welcome you.
