HQC-SYSTEM

Sustainable brilliance for the surface of silver coins

The High Quality Conservation System is a technology developed by Geiger Edelmetalle for the Noah's Ark silver bullion coins. It prevents the reaction of silver with components of the air and also protects against discoloration.

If the seal remains closed, the silver coins will maintain their brilliance.

Here you learn how this system works:

Silver is a highly reactive precious metal. If silver reacts with oxygen and other components of the air and the surface is getting a dark coating (argentite).

During the HQCS-process all components of the air in the coin tubes will be evacuated into a vacuum container.

Colorless and extremely-inert gas will be pumped into the tubes. The coins are completely enclosed by protective gas.

The sealing of the coin tubes ensures that the protective gas remains in the tubes and protects the coins permanently.
